Who we are

The Color Four specializes in documentary, commercial and social impact filmmaking.

Working with us is a personal experience so your voice won’t get lost in the final product. Our gear is top of the line, but we also enjoy living out of our backpacks so we can throw ourselves into any story. We're comfortable working everywhere from remote rainforests in Indonesia to the Sierra Nevada mountains, and interviewing everyone from Oscar-winning actresses to your three-year-old niece.

Based in Los Angeles, we collaborate with award-winning creatives across the globe to tell stories that educate, entertain and empower.

Past clients include: The New York Times, Apple, Zendesk, Patagonia, National Geographic, The Guardian, Segal Family Foundation, Barack Obama, Tom Steyer, Kirsten Gillibrand, No Barriers, Ritual, and NextGen America.

He worked on Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign and Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote initiative, filming videos across key battleground states. Matty’s work aims to empower communities by connecting their stories.

Varun Chopra is an award winning director from New Delhi, currently based between Vancouver, Los Angeles and London. His films mesh the realism of documentaries with cinematic formalism language (and sometimes slick graphic design!) to create highly visual, one of a kind stories.
